Opportunities for your role
As our Food & Beverage Manager, you will lead a vibrant and energetic team of passionate restaurant, bar and kitchen staff. Together, you will strive to deliver the best service possible. You will help recruit, train, evaluate, lead and motivate your team members together with your supervisors.
You will play an important role in shaping the guest experience, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and living the Grand Joanne values: “Be Joanne. Be nice. Be local. Be there”.
You will be part of the management. We expect that our managers will not only oversee but also partake in the daily operations.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the restaurant team, consisting of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar staff
- Working shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Implementing and living Grand Joanne’s core values, service standards and policies - both internally and externally.
- Managing schedules, training, and development of the team according to union laws.
- Creating and optimizing menus throughout the hotel outlets, keeping cost control in mind.
- Collaborating closely with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Ordering and maintaining stock.
- Sharing your knowledge and staying up to date on wines.
- Reporting hotel-important KPIs and developing initiatives to reach set goals.
- Implementing and following up on SOP’s, cleaning and service standards.
Who you are:
- Educated in the hospitality sector with minimum 3 years of management experience from similar roles.
- Able to communicate in English on a professional level, both written and verbal. Additional Scandinavian languages are preferred.
- You have a calm, positive and solution-oriented mindset even when things work fast.
- Food, wine and cocktails are more than just that.
- You are experienced in creating menus for à la carte and bar.
